A leading Chemical Manufacturer, Building Demo/CoGen Study: Upstate, NY
The objective of this feasibility study was to evaluate whether the manufacturer's could reduce overall costs of electricity purchases and steam production by taking advantage of the increased efficiency (i.e. combined heat and power). Delaware Engineering developed preliminary conceptual designs and implementation plans. Working closely with vendors, Delaware identified equipment sizes and configurations likely to be most feasible for the facility. Sensitivity analyses were conducted on fuel and project capital costs.

Sanmina/Hadco, Chemical Bulk Storage Compliance: Owego, NY
Sanmina/ Hadco Corporation retained Delaware Engineering to prepare a Chemical Bulk Storage (CBS) Compliance Audit for the Owego Facility. Many of the wet process tanks used to feed the manufacturing lines were stationary totes over 185 gallons; therefore, the objective was to identify and evaluate all tanks and piping systems which stored hazardous chemicals in bulk. Delaware provided a facility compliance assessment, recommendations reports, tank registration, up-dates to the spill prevention report, and certificate of compliance.

A prominent Paper Manufacturer, Landfill and Cell Design, Construction and Closure: Northern, NY
Delaware staff has been involved since 1994 in the Part 360 permitting, design, and construction of two 15-acre landfill cells at this facility. Key accomplishments include developing an environmental monitoring plan that allows our client to effectively monitor liner performance on a site that was impacted by historic landfill operations. We also developed a piggyback liner design to maximize available capacity at the site.
