Village of Walton, WWTP Upgrade: Walton, NY
This 1.1MGD facility was under a NYSDEC Consent Order and NYCDEP scrutiny for SPDES Permit non-compliance. The upgrade included the design of a biological system compatible with variable dairy waste from Kraft Foods. Plant automation was essential to the successful completion of this project. The system design necessitated the integration of milk waste along with unique operation and design requirements. Delaware Engineering was responsible for the pretreatment aspects of Kraft waste and subsequent operational changes needed to handle the modified load. Project cost: $3M.
City of Glens Falls, Water Filtration System: Glens Falls, NY
Delaware staff provided the preliminary design for the construction of a 4.5 MGD plant with DualSand® Water Filtration for the City of Glens Falls. The filtration system is capable of meeting or exceeding the requirements of the New York State Sanitary Code, including applicable federal guidelines and regulations (e.g. IESWTR, M/DBP Rule, TCR, and FBR). The project, which was DWSRF funded, was constructed in 2003.

Town of Windham, New WWTP/Collection System: Windham, NY
Delaware Engineering is currently providing planning and design services for a new 375,000 GPD wastewater treatment plant and sewage collection system in the Town of Windham. The facility will include a primary, secondary, and tertiary (DualSand®) treatment processes prior to surface discharge. The project will cost between $19M and $23M and is funded by the NYC Watershed New Infrastructure Program.
